Vegan Alternative Perth is a site run by volunteers who really love music, fashion, food and/or veganism.

We want to support the growing independent/alternative scene in Perth – some may say that Perth is a small and uncultured city but there are some sparks out there and we’re trying to be part of the team fanning those and developing Perth’s independent scene. This spans a whole spectrum of subjects – though particularly we focus on local designers, stores and bands.
However this doesn’t mean we’ll shy from discussing issues relating to the larger indie/alternative scene – be they Australian, foreign or on an international scale.

Veganism is something we’re trying to bring to the fore – it’s important in today’s climate and we think that developing Perth’s awareness of animal rights issues and health is just as important as developing its cultural side. If we’re to grow as a city we need to do so with observance of some basic ethical codes.
We’re affiliated with the People and Animal Welfare Society, please take some time to visit their site.

As stated before, our writers, designers and developers are volunteers, and we’re very grateful for their efforts.

The team at Vegan Alternative Perth is also currently working on an easy to use directory that will hopefully help small independent businesses and local designers get some press and help the people of Perth find some interesting places they might not have known about before.
